As a goal-oriented person, I have a lot of lofty goals that I’m striving for – Business goals and personal goals. I’m constantly striving to be better and make a bigger impact with my life goals.
But, I also struggle A LOT in trying to achieve my goals. I admin, many goals are just plain HARD to achieve. Life gets crazy and chaotic. We get distracted and we lose motivation.
What’s hard for me is to stay focused on such long-term goals that don’t see immediate rewards. Having big 2-year, 5-year, even 10-year goals are hard to accomplish. I find myself losing sight of what I’m ultimately trying to achieve because my goals are set so far into the future. It’s frustrating!
Do you ever feel like that? …that you lose sight or feel disconnected from your goals?
If so, I wanted to share with you something that has helped me with my goals and maybe it can help you with your big goals, too… especially those big home project goals.
The best way I’ve found to achieve my goals is to keep them front and center in my life. And one of the best ways I’ve found to do this is with a vision board.
I know it sounds a little strange, but it works.
A vision board helps keep my goals and dreams top of mind where I can see them and stay connected to them. They keep me focused and really clear on what I’m trying to achieve. They keep me grounded and bring me back to what’s important and why I get up every day to do what I do.
And you know what? I believe a vision board can work for you, too!
A vision board is the perfect tool to help you achieve your big project goals.
By surrounding yourself with images of what you want to achieve, who you want to become, what you want to have, and where you want to live, your life changes to match those images and those desires. You’re more motivated and inspired to work towards your project goals even when times get hard and challenges arise.
And vision boards are easy to create. They can be physical or digital collages. You can mount them to your wall or assign them as your screensaver.
So, try it out. Make a project vision board and display it somewhere you’ll see it often so you’ll be reminded of what you’re trying so hard to achieve – that dream home!
And then, let me know how it goes. I’d love to hear see your vision board and hear how it has helped you with your project.
